Description: The Center for Psychotherapy Research is looking for motivated students who are in need of a work-study position. If you are interested in gaining experience in a clinical-research setting on campus and qualify for PENN work study, there is a position for you here. This job is flexible; students who can work 6-15 hours/week will be considered. Responsibilities may include the following: organizing and maintaining patient clinical charts, tracking patient status through the treatment process, data entry and analysis, and literature searches and literature reviews. Our goal is to discover how psychotherapy works in treating specific disorders. At the moment, we have several studies being conducted. This is an opportunity to gain valuable research experience in a clinical research environment -- something future employers and graduate schools will want to see on your application.
Qualifications: We prefer psychology majors. Applicants should be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous experiencing using Microsoft Access and PsycINFO are a plus, but not necessary.

Description: We are seeking a number of research assistants for a large biopsychosocial
interdisciplinary research study (PI: Adrian Raine) focused on the prediction
and treatment of child/adolescent aggression. Research assistants will be
trained in a number of different data collection techniques, including
diagnosis (for conduct disorder, hyperactivity, depression, anxiety),
psychophysiology (EEG, skin conductance, heart rate), neurocognition (executive
functions, IQ), neuroendocrinology (cortisol, testosterone, alpha-amylase),
environmental toxin exposure (bone lead levels), nutritional diaries,
personality, and psychosocial functioning. Pay is $11 / hour. These are ideal
positions for undergraduates at all levels to gain research training and
experience to strengthen their future applications to graduate school in
criminology, psychology, and related fields.
Qualifications: Studying at Penn for an undergraduate degree in a discipline relevant to this
study. Prior research experience highly desirable but not essential. Prior
knowledge / training in biological and clinical assessment is not a requirement
– you will receive appropriate training. Must be highly reliable, conscientious,
dedicated, self-motivated, and have social skills to relate well to both
11-year-old children and caretakers. Eight hours minimum work per week
required. A minimum 1-year commitment is required and more years (up to 4)
